AABPA Launches a Speakers Bureau
AABPA is proud to announce the start of its newest program, the AABPA Speakers Bureau. With this new program, AABPA will advance its goals of providing education about public sector, nonprofit budgeting and analysis to all members.
Individual AABPA members are speaking about public budgeting and analysis with increasing frequency. The launch of the Speakers Bureau will formalize these appearances and provide a platform to expand the reach of AABPA to promote knowledge about and service in public budgeting and analysis. Appearances by Bureau members will be of value to students preparing for public sector and nonprofit careers, associations and other organizations seeking more information about public budgeting and analysis, and even private firms.
Those interested in knowing more about public sector budget and analysis are invited to review the Bureau link above and to consider using AABPA speakers to learn more about public and nonprofit budgeting. AABPA members are invited to review the guidelines for the Bureau and to consider becoming speaking members. Potential audiences and new Bureau members may learn more about the Bureau by contacting the Speakers Bureau Coordinator, Ed Brigham, at ed.brigham@aabpa.org. Potential audiences and AABPA members are invited to visit the Speakers Bureau webpage periodically. Information about the Bureau is expected to expand as new appearances are made and speaking Bureau members join.

But federal budget professionals look forward to the challenge of crafting smaller budgets that still achieve the government’s goals and objectives. This is one of the findings in the first ever comprehensive survey of federal budget professionals conducted by the American Association for Budget and Program Analysis (AABPA) and Grant Thornton LLP.
