The goal of the Academic Program is to strengthen the ties between the academic and practitioner community of the budget and program analysis fields, to encourage student research, to provide training and mentoring opportunities for new analysts, and to connect hiring managers with potential employees.

AABPA is pleased to announce the five finalists for the 2012 Marykathryn Kubat Award for Graduate Student Research.  

With the Kubat Award, AABPA seeks to encourage student research and critical thinking that will prepare students for the budget and program issues they will encounter in their careers, particularly those in the public service. The students will showcase their research during a reception on May 15 and at our Spring Symposium on May 16.
