    Budget blogs and commentary

    • Angry Bear - in its own words, "slightly left of center economic commentary on news, politics, and the economy."
    • Baseline scenario - Called "a must read" by Paul Krugman, this intelligent and readable, progressive blog is dedicated to explaining some of the key issues in the global economy and developing concrete policy proposals.
    • Beat the Press - Dean Baker's commentary on economic reporting; reflects the liberal orientation of its sponsor, The American Prospect
    • Capital Gains and Games - sharp, witty writing on "Washington, Wall Street and everything in between." Among its backers is AABPA ally, Stan Collender.
    • Economic Snapshot - maintained by the Economic Policy Institute, a non-partisan think tank that supports a strong, effective labor movement.
    • Economics Roundtable - a prolific, non-partisan site covering a wide variety of economics issues - hosted by Professor William R. Parke of the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
    • Federalist - Free-market-oriented blog on economics and other subjects. Maintained by an anonymous "graduate of Yale University [who] presently works in the finance industry."
    • Free Exchange - Daily commentary, sponsored by The Economist magazine
    • Robert Reich's Blog - Former President Clinton's Labor Seretary holds forth on whatever interests him, which most of the time is related to economics and - these days - Wall Street.
