Recovery Act Links

Unlike most appropriations legislation to date, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) (H.R. 1, 111th Cong.; P.L. 111-5) has had an unprecedented level of transparency. In the wake of the bill's passage, and with the guidance of OMB memoranda, agencies have posted information showing the status of ARRA funding; and sites such as Grants.gov and FedBizOpps.gov have separated out ARRA funding information. The federal site, Recovery.gov, serves as a collecting point for news and reports from agencies, and as the administration's window into ARRA activities.

This effort has been replicated at both the State level and in the prviate sector. These sites are shown below. We encourage suggestions from our members and guests on how to improve this page:

GAO's "Following the Money" page

      The Act requires the Government Accountability Office (GAO) to do bimonthly reviews of the use of funds by selected states and localities. This includes the

    as well as state-by-state reviews, reporting stimulus fraud and other information.

      As part of its "

    ," CBO has assembled all its publications relating to the ARRA, including cost estimates of the initial bill, analyses of the macroeconomic effects and spending estimates for certain provisions.
Departmental/Agency Sites: Recovery.gov - Recovery.gov is the federal government's primary site for ARRA information, featuring information on how the ARRA is working, pages that address government accountability, and data on the expenditure of funds.
