Federal Careers In Budgeting and Program analysis
Each summer, AABPA and The George Washington University Trachtenberg School of Public Policy and Public Administration partner to provide students guidance and information about careers in the federal government.
The day-long program provides a forum for interns to learn from specialists outside the offices in which they work, and from career counselors who can provide realistic appraisals of career prospects and advice on how to get those jobs.
The training includes:
* Roundtable discussions with budget and program analysts from agency offices, Capitol Hill, CBO, GAO and OMB
* Topical sessions on current trends and concerns in budget and program analysis, and
* Career development panels on applying and interviewing for federal positions, managing your career, and making and maintaining professional networks.
